Udemy is a free platform offering more than 10,000 on-demand video courses – start learning today!

Udemy courses (available in multiple languages) help users learn and improve skills across business, technology, design, and other topics. Udemy also offers certification courses. **Please note Udemy will be replacing Universal Class in August – until then, both are available!

To get started, click here. Then enter the barcode number on your library card. If you don’t have your barcode number, contact the library at (802) 649-1184 for assistance.

Next, click on “Sign in / Create a Udemy account.”

You’ll see a sign-in screen. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Sign up.”

Fill out the form with your email and name and create a new password. Scroll to the bottom to click “Sign up.”

Once you’ve completed the sign-up process, you’ll be taken to the homepage of your account. If you click on “Explore” at the top of the page, you can browse courses by category.

At the top of the page, you can also search for a course topic.

Once you start a search, you can use filters to narrow it down to the kind of course you’re looking for.

Once you click on a course, you can watch a video preview of it.

You can also review a list of course objectives and modules.

To enroll in a course, go to the top of the course page and click on “Enroll now.”

Once you enroll, you’ll be taken to the beginning of the course and can begin watching the videos. You can navigate to different parts of the course using the table of contents on the right-hand side.

To return to a course later, log in to your account and hover your mouse over “My learning.” Then click on the course.

Udemy also provides certification courses. To access these, hover your mouse over “Explore” and click on “Certification preparation.”

From here, you can search or filter for a specific certification course. Click on a course to learn more and/or enroll as described above.
