What better way to spend an autumn Sunday afternoon than watching a cinematic gem on a big screen – for free?
Norwich Public Library will host Sunday films in October and November curated and introduced by Dan Davis, a Norwich-based film columnist. Both films will deal with the theme of the con-artist. Screenings take place at 1:00 pm in the library’s community room and are free and open to the public.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) stars Steve Martin and tells the story of two con men competing to swindle an heiress out of $50,000.
The Sting (1979) stars Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Depression-era con men try to scam a big-time hood. Oscar winner for Best Picture.
