Exercise Your Mind

Summer Reading is on at NPL!  So are slacklining, hula hooping, frisbee, jump-roping, and more.

After successful kickoff parties for our Teen and Kids’ programs this past week, we’re thrilled to start our Summer Reading Program for adults. This year’s theme? Fitness. We’ll have tic-tac-toe cards as usual, so that you can track your reading goals and earn the chance to win great prizes at our end-of-summer raffle. But we’re also trying a few new things this year, including circulating fitness and outdoor recreation equipment.

So far, the fitness equipment collection includes:

  • Slackline
  • Jump rope workout set with DVD
  • Frisbee & boomerang set
  • Pedometers
  • Jazzminton (like badminton, but without a net)
  • Weighted hula hoop with workout DVD
  • Foxtail
  • Resistance band set
  • Kettlebells and kettlebell workout DVD
