The library has partnered with NOFA-VT and the Vermont Department of Libraries in celebration of Agricultural Literacy Week.
On November 21 at 5:30, Norwich Public Library will welcome master baker Jeffrey Hammelman in the library’s community room. Hammelman will lead a discussion on the wonders of bread and a tasting of King Arthur Flour breads and local artisanal spreads will follow.
This event is part of this year’s Agricultural Literacy Week theme of “Celebrating Our Culinary Traditions.” The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT) has spearheaded the week-long celebration to celebrate, inform, and educate people about the economic and cultural importance of farms in Vermont communities.
