Outreach Program
The Norwich Public Library is pleased to be able to offer an Outreach Program to those patrons who can not come to the library. The program is outlined below.
How do I become an Outreach client?
Just give us a call. You must be a registered library patron and live in Norwich. At this time we are unable to make deliveries outside the town.
How often will items be delivered?
Twice a month (days to be determined) a library volunteer will deliver library materials to you and pick up the materials you are finished with.
What may I check out?
Outreach patrons are able to check out all library materials (with the exception of current issues of magazines) and make Inter-library Loan requests.
How do I choose my titles?
Once a month you will receive a copy of the library's newsletter, Bookmark , which includes a list of recent library acquisitions. The entire library catalog is available on our website HERE. However, we encourage you to call us to check on the availability of a title.
How do I make my requests?
You may call or email your title requests. If a particular title is not available, we will add your name to the reserve list.
As we add more volunteers to our roster, we hope to provide this service more often per month. If you have questions or comments please call Lucinda Walker or Lisa Milchman at 649-1184.
