Donations and Contributions
The Norwich Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Operating funds come from a variety of sources; the town appropriation (less than 53% of the total operating budget), the Annual Appeal campaign, miscellaneous library fees and income from small endowment.
Norwich Public Library Annual Appeal
The Norwich Public Library's Annual Appeal begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th. All contributions to the Annual Appeal are tax-deductible.
Planned Giving
Please consider making a gift to the Norwich Public Library through your will. You may designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, a piece of property, or any other specified gift. These gifts are fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes at the time of distribution. Book and material donations
The Library accepts donations of books, DVDs, videos and audiobooks (on tape or CD). We do not accept donations of encyclopedias, magazines and condensed books. The Library reserves the right to dispose of any donation that is not added to the library's collection.
